Peter joined the Graduate Group in Ancient History in 2020 after completing a B.A. in Classics at Washington University in St. Louis. His primary research interests concern Archaic and Classical Greece, especially regarding questions about colonization, cultural exchange, and ancient economies. Drawn equally to the textual and material aspects of ancient history, he has complemented his studies of Greek and Latin by working on archaeological excavations in Germany, Italy, and Greece as well as attending programs at the Intercollegiate Center for Classical Studies in Rome and the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. Peter’s other interests include epigraphy, numismatics, and digital archaeology.
