Hailing from Melbourne, Australia, Daniel (he/him) joined the Graduate Group in Ancient History in Fall 2022. He received his B.A. in Classical Civilization and Archaeological Studies from Yale University the same year. His undergraduate thesis, titled Learning to Live Together: the Case of Alexandria Troas, examined the coinage and inscriptions from the city of Alexandria Troas during the Hellenistic period and highlighted the continued quest of self-determination and creation of a civic identity by the city's inhabitants. Daniel's broad interests lay in the Hellenistic world, particularly the Hellenistic city and questions about migration and cultural exchange.
